






Bio
Marjo Riihimäki is a Finnish conductor and the founder and artistic leader of the Finnish Symphonic Wind Professionals.
Marjo has been invited as a guest conductor for the Kuopio Symphony Orchestra, Joensuu and Pori City Orchestras, The UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra and the Air Force Big Band. She has implemented innovative collaborations with artists such as jazz vocalists Maja Mannila, Elena Mindru and trumpetist Tero Lindberg.
Marjo is particularly well-versed in the music literature of symphonic wind ensembles, symphonic jazz and crossover music.
Her primary passion areas are in film music and projects within dramatic art.
