CONCERTS FOR FIRST-TIMERS

 

Movie Quiz

An interactive concert including questionnaire for the audience. The orchestra plays variety of great melodies – both symphonic music that has been used in movies and music that has been composed for movies. 

 

The Favorites of Coach Potatoes

Do you remember when there was no streaming services, and you had to watch the trailer and listen the theme music of the show? Now you have the opportunity to travel back in time! This concert offers you themes of your favorite shows: Matlock, Dallas, Stargate and the Simpsons  – among many others.

 

The Victims of the Commercials

During the twentieth century television became one of the most important advertisement channel. The companies came up with new ideas to get their products popular by using live picture and music combined. Music was often ”stolen” from famous classical composers – and this concert reveals the pieces and their beauty.

 

Heroes

Remember the best hymns and fanfares ever played in Olympic Games? This concert invites you to enjoy great music by famous composers, not to forget the touching ballads performed during the olympic opening seremonies.

 

JAZZ AND ENTERTAINING CONCERTS

 

Hope – jazz singer Elena Mindru

a crossover concert with an awarded jazzsinger Elena Mindru, her band and symphony orchestra.  Elena Mindru’s program from the record Hope bridge the worlds of art-rock, jazz and Finnish folk music. Lyrics are meaningful and touching, telling about the climate change and the unstableness of the world. 

 

Afterwork

An entertaining concert consisting music from movies and musicals. The show includes couple of touching ballades among energizing music, which guides the audience towards smiling faces and happy feelings! 

 

CHILDREN’S CONCERTS

 

Babar

Concert including story of Poulenc: Babar and other elephant related songs suitable for children from 5 to 8 years.

 

Wild Symphony

Story and music by Dan Brown combines poems of different animals and charming music.

 

Pink Panther

Concert including themes of children’s tv shows and game music.

Different programming – for example Finnish music including both new and old well-known composers.
